MyCarSteps is an independent English-language guide library for owners of all car makes. Our first four guides cover the Volvo XC60 and XC90; other makes will be added as their guides are researched.

What we publish

Focused guides with a short answer, clear steps where verified, and an explicit description of the model, market, manual or software system covered. Each guide links to its official references and includes its review date.

How we check a guide

1. Identify the owner’s question and the vehicle or system involved.
2. Check the procedure against official Volvo documentation, and official product support where relevant.
3. Write an original explanation and state any limits in the evidence.
4. Keep different systems separate. A similar-looking screen does not establish compatibility.

What “reviewed” means

It means the published instructions were checked against the linked sources on the stated date. It does not mean we tested the procedure in a car. The initial guides are source-based and use original illustrative artwork, not photographs of a tested vehicle.

When a procedure is uncertain

We explain the verified information and the next useful action. We do not fill gaps with a universal reset sequence. Vehicle equipment, market and software can change what appears in a menu.

Independence

MyCarSteps is not affiliated with vehicle manufacturers. Model names identify the vehicles discussed. This first edition has no paid placements or affiliate links.

Compare the guide with the manual selected for your vehicle on Volvo Support. If they differ, use the current vehicle-specific instructions. We will revise these guides when their sources and scope are reviewed again.
