How to connect a 2024 Ford Escape to home Wi-Fi

This procedure joins an existing network. It does not purchase a vehicle hotspot data plan or guarantee availability of every connected service.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Connecting the vehicle to an existing Wi-Fi network is different from sharing the vehicle hotspot. Open the connectivity settings, enable Wi-Fi and choose the network. A password is required for a secured home connection.

Step by step

1Open connectivityPark within range of the network. Open touchscreen Settings and select Connectivity.
2Find available networksChoose Manage Wi-Fi Networks, switch Wi-Fi on and select View Available Networks.
3Join the networkSelect your network name and enter its password if it is secured. Wait for connection confirmation before moving to another menu.
4Check receptionIf the network is missing, confirm the vehicle is within range and that the router is broadcasting the intended network.
