Reset the oil-life monitor after the engine oil and filter have been changed. The reset is performed with the instrument-cluster controls. Clearing the reminder is a bookkeeping step and does not replace the maintenance that triggered it.

Step by step

1Complete the serviceChange the engine oil and oil filter before resetting the monitor. Keep a record of the work and mileage.
2Open the maintenance menuOn the cluster with the Settings route, press the steering-wheel Menu button, then select Settings and Vehicle Maintenance.
3Choose oil lifeSelect Oil Life. This is the Settings/Vehicle Maintenance route; the manual gives a separate Truck Info route for another cluster.
4Confirm the resetHold OK until the instrument display confirms the reset. Check the result before leaving the maintenance screen.
