How to use automatic climate control in a Kia EV4
AUTO climate control manages several settings together after you choose a temperature. It is a useful starting point when repeated manual fan and airflow changes are making cabin comfort harder to manage.
Checked against the MY2027 English owner manual for this model on 27 October 2026. Equipment and software can differ; use the instructions and controls fitted to your own vehicle.
Set the desired temperature and touch AUTO. The EV4 then automatically controls airflow mode, fan speed, air intake and air conditioning according to the documented system.
Before you start
Park while learning the icons on your display. Select a comfortable temperature first so the automatic system has a clear target. Use the actual controls shown by your car.
Follow these steps
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
The manual lists High, Medium and Low automatic airflow levels with different fan ranges. A change in fan speed during automatic operation is expected behaviour within those ranges, rather than proof that a manual fan command has been ignored.
Common questions
