How to start a 2024 Nissan Rogue with a dead key battery

For a registered Intelligent Key with a low battery. A key-system fault or an unregistered key requires a different diagnosis.
THE QUICK ANSWER
If the Intelligent Key cell is discharged, touch the key to the ignition switch and start within ten seconds of the recognition chime while holding the brake. This emergency procedure allows a registered key to be recognised; it does not repair the weak battery.
