Long periods of recirculation can fog the windows. Some conditions or defrost modes prevent activation.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Recirculation closes the outside-air intake and reuses cabin air. It may help keep unpleasant outside smells out temporarily. Activate it in the climate view, but monitor the glass: extended recirculation can cause misting, and maximum defrost does not allow recirculation.

Step by step

1Open climateTap the fan symbol in the bottom bar.
2Select recirculationPress the recirculation icon to request constant cabin-air recirculation manually. Automatic operation may also occur in response to conditions.
3Watch the windowsAvoid extended use if condensation builds up. Maximum defrost makes recirculation unavailable; clear the glass before driving if visibility is reduced.
