How to use Extreme Cooling in a hot XPENG G9 cabin
A heat-soaked cabin may need a different initial setting from normal temperature maintenance. The G9 handbook provides an Extreme Cooling function that combines low temperature, strong airflow and seat ventilation where fitted.
Checked on 27 October 2026 against XPENG’s 2025 English G9 manual for XOS V5.6.0, printed pages 233–236. Chinese-market owner reports identify the question; they do not establish a common defect, a guaranteed fix, or matching export equipment. Stop if your car’s controls differ.
Open the climate-control screen and select Extreme Cooling. After the cabin becomes comfortable, choose your normal temperature and AUTO. For remote cooling, use the climate function available in your current authorized XPENG app.
Before you start
Check the cabin and seating surfaces before anyone gets in. Never leave a child, animal or vulnerable person in a parked vehicle relying on remote climate control. Make screen adjustments while parked and confirm that air-conditioning is actually running.
Cool down, then maintain the temperature
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
Airflow should cool the cabin and then settle at the selected normal setting. If air stays warm or a fault appears, record the outside temperature, settings and behaviour for support. No particular cooling time or use of grid power is guaranteed by this procedure.
Chinese owner report — anecdotal context
A Chinese G9 owner describes pre-cooling before summer travel. Their domestic app path, cooling-time suggestions and energy-source claims are not treated as verified behaviour for the international model. Report dated 2025-06-11; domestic-market anecdote.
Common questions
Is Extreme Cooling the same as AUTO?+
No. Extreme Cooling requests an initial maximum-cooling setup; AUTO regulates climate around your chosen temperature.
Will every G9 have seat ventilation?+
Equipment varies. Follow your vehicle’s fitted features and the manual’s optional-equipment markings.
