How to enable automatic driver-seat comfort in a Kia EV4
An equipped EV4 can manage driver-seat heating or ventilation according to ambient temperature. This can reduce repeated manual adjustments, but pressing the seat switch changes how the documented feature is controlled.
Checked against the MY2027 English owner manual for this model on 27 October 2026. Equipment and software can differ; use the instructions and controls fitted to your own vehicle.
Choose Settings > Vehicle > Seats > Link to Climate Settings for Auto-Adjustment > Driver seat warmer/ventilation to activate or deactivate automatic driver-seat comfort.
Before you start
Confirm that the vehicle has the required heated or ventilated seat equipment. Park before changing the setting and keep the seat free of insulating covers when using its heating function.
Follow these steps
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
The manual says the system controls seat temperature according to ambient temperature while the vehicle is running. If you press the seat heating/ventilation switch, control becomes manual; keep that distinction in mind when checking the response.
Common questions
Why did automatic control stop after I pressed the seat button?+
Kia says operating that switch moves the heated or ventilated seat to manual control.
Is it guaranteed on every EV4?+
No. Auto Comfort Control is listed as equipment dependent.
