Leapmotor B10 automatic wipers too slow in rain: controls to check

If rainfall increases before the automatic wipers speed up, take over with the manual wiping control. Visibility comes before adjusting sensitivity in a menu.

Checked against the English BEV manual linked below. China-market reports identify the owner question; they do not establish an export defect, a recall or a guaranteed fix. Match the handbook and equipment in your car, and follow current on-screen instructions where software differs.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Use the stalk’s manual low- or high-speed position whenever AUTO is not clearing the glass adequately. When safely parked, check automatic-wiper sensitivity under Settings → Driving if your B10 has that equipment.

The China-market owner report

A B10 owner’s service report says automatic wiping sometimes remained slow in heavy rain. The claimed future OTA improvement is not a confirmed release or a reason to wait with poor visibility.

Before you start

Check that the windscreen is clear of ice, heavy snow or abrasive debris before operating the wipers. The manual covers both rain-sensing and intermittent equipment; identify your own stalk and specification.

What to check

Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.

Check the result

An adjusted sensitivity may change the response, but it is not a guaranteed fix for the reported symptom. Do not test by deliberately driving into heavy rain or spraying sensors while the arms are obstructed.

Common questions

Can I keep driving because AUTO is enabled?+

Only if visibility is adequate. Automatic wiping is an aid and manual intervention may be needed.

Does every B10 have automatic sensitivity?+

No. The checked manual marks the rain-sensing and intermittent variants separately.

Where this guide comes from

Operating steps are checked against manufacturer documentation; Chinese owner discussions are labelled as anecdotal reports. They identify questions, not the prevalence or cause of a fault. Reviewed on 27 October 2026. This is a source-based guide, not a claim of hands-on vehicle testing.
