How to stop unwanted approach unlocking on a Leapmotor C10

A car parked close to your house can react repeatedly while you carry its phone key nearby. Start with the key’s locking mode rather than renaming ordinary Bluetooth devices.

Checked against the English BEV manual linked below. China-market reports identify the owner question; they do not establish an export defect, a recall or a guaranteed fix. Match the handbook and equipment in your car, and follow current on-screen instructions where software differs.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Open My Car → Digital Key in the Leapmotor app. Review automatic unlocking and the induction-area setting, or select the documented door-handle locking/unlocking mode. Test the real door state after changing it.

The China-market owner report

A China-market C10 poster reports repeated unlocking while walking near the car, even after changing a setting. The report establishes the symptom only; it does not prove the same software fault exists on export vehicles.

Before you start

Park, close the doors and keep the NFC card outside the car. Make one change at a time so you can tell whether the setting takes effect.

What to check

Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.

Check the result

The successful result is predictable entry in the selected mode. Do not assume a new Bluetooth name, a smaller distance or an app icon proves the vehicle is secured.

Common questions

Is the shortest detection distance a security fix?+

No. It changes the requested operating area; an ignored setting needs investigation.

Should I switch off the phone’s Bluetooth?+

That also removes Bluetooth-key functionality. Use the key controls and keep an alternative working key.

Where this guide comes from

Operating steps are checked against manufacturer documentation; Chinese owner discussions are labelled as anecdotal reports. They identify questions, not the prevalence or cause of a fault. Reviewed on 27 October 2026. This is a source-based guide, not a claim of hands-on vehicle testing.
