Mazda CX-30: How to replace the remote key battery

The key battery is beneath the transmitter covers and inner cap. Replace it with the same CR2032 type or equivalent, positive side facing upward.

Step by step

1Release the casePress the release knob and remove the lower cover. Release the upper-cover tab and use a tape-wrapped flat screwdriver to open it as illustrated.
2Change the cellRemove the inner cap and old battery without touching circuitry. Fit a matching battery positive side up.
3Close the keyReplace the cap and upper cover, then engage the lower-cover tabs. Check the button indicator and remote operation.
