How to pair a phone with the Polestar 5
Use the phone’s name and pairing code to check which device the car is connecting to. Pairing is the first step before using the car’s phone interface.
Checked against the UK model-year 2026 Polestar 5 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the display and fitted equipment to your car before following these instructions. Optional comfort features may be absent.
Open top-bar settings → Settings → General → Bluetooth, select Pair and choose your phone. Compare the codes on both screens before approving the connection.
Before you start
Park, enable Bluetooth on both devices and make the phone discoverable. Keep the phone unlocked and within reach for its confirmation prompts.
Follow the controls
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
After successful pairing, the phone is connected and should reconnect on a later visit with Bluetooth enabled. If a name looks unfamiliar, stop and identify the device before accepting.
Common questions
Can two phones be active at once?+
The car can remember several paired phones, but the manual allows one active connection at a time.
Why are some phone features missing?+
Check the access permissions approved during pairing. Pairing without them is possible, but the manual describes reduced functionality.
