How to switch the connected phone in a Polestar 5
When two drivers bring their phones, the remembered device list helps you choose which one is active. A stored pairing and an active connection are separate states.
Checked against the UK model-year 2026 Polestar 5 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the display and fitted equipment to your car before following these instructions. Optional comfort features may be absent.
In top-bar settings → Settings → General → Bluetooth → Paired devices, press Connect beside the phone you want to use.
Before you start
Park and enable Bluetooth on the intended phone. It must already be paired; a phone that has never been paired will not become available just by switching connections.

You can also use the switch-device symbol in the phone view. If the required phone is absent, pair it first rather than repeatedly trying to connect another entry.
Common questions
Must I delete the other driver’s phone?+
No deletion is part of this procedure. Select the required remembered device with Connect.
Why is my phone not listed?+
Confirm that it was paired with this car. The manual suggests pairing again if the desired device is missing.
