How to schedule cabin preconditioning in a Volvo EX60
Set the time you intend to leave, rather than guessing when heating or cooling should begin. A recurring timer is useful for a regular journey, while a single departure avoids an unwanted weekly schedule.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Press the fan symbol → Timers → Climate timers → Add timer. Choose the departure time. For repeat use, enable Repeat weekly, choose the days and press Save, then activate the timer under Climate timers.
Choose the correct departure and days
Park before entering the schedule. Check the intended departure time and whether it is a one-off trip or a weekly routine. Read the saved entry after creating it so the next morning does not depend on a mistyped time or day.
Add the departure-time plan
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
App controls and a changed routine
The Volvo Cars app also offers timer settings, including what to precondition and the preferred cabin temperature. Review a recurring entry when your travel routine changes rather than adding another overlapping plan without checking the first.
Common questions
Can the timer be used for a single departure?+
The manual describes both single-departure and weekly schedules.
Is this the charging schedule?+
This procedure concerns passenger-compartment preconditioning. Battery-charging schedules are separate controls.
