How to change the system language in a Volvo EX60
A display language affects the information you need to read in the car. Choose one you understand comfortably before changing the menu, rather than selecting an unfamiliar language as an experiment.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Open the vehicle symbol → System → Languages and input → Languages, then choose the language you want the vehicle to use.
Choose a language you can read confidently
Park before working through the menus. Volvo warns that the selected language must be fully understood because the car communicates safety information and notifications through it. If another person is helping, agree on the desired language first.
Select the display language
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check more than the first screen
Read the changed menu labels before returning to your task. If you were solving a phone or app issue, check that separately afterwards; this procedure changes the vehicle system language rather than diagnosing another device.
Common questions
Can I choose any language just to see how it looks?+
Use a language you fully understand. Important vehicle messages must remain readable to you.
What confirms the change?+
The manual says the new language appears in the displays. Check the visible menu labels after selecting it.
