How to change the panoramic-roof tint in a Volvo EX60
The roof-shading control changes the glass’s tint electronically. Find the menu setting before looking for a physical fabric blind or applying instructions intended for a different kind of roof.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Open vehicle symbol → Controls → Lights and displays → Roof shading. Turn the shading on or off to select the tinted or transparent state.
Check the roof equipment in your own car
Make the adjustment while parked and compare the controls with your vehicle’s manual. This procedure concerns the electrochromic panoramic glass described for the EX60; it does not describe fitting an accessory or opening the roof.
Choose the roof-shading state
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Use quick controls for later adjustments
Volvo also lists the center display’s quick controls as an alternative place to adjust tint. The roof’s infrared-film layer and selectable tint are different aspects of its glazing; use the shading control for the choice you can change yourself.
