How to save the trunk opening height on a Volvo EX60
Measure the available space before opening the hatch beneath a low ceiling. A saved height helps with a familiar parking place, but it should still be checked against the clearance at each new location.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Open the hatch, move it to the required height and hold the inner-right closing button for a few seconds until a chime confirms the setting. The saved height belongs to the current profile.
Choose a safe height and clear the area
Keep people and objects out of the hatch’s path. Check the ceiling as well as the space behind the vehicle. Use the intended driver profile so the height is saved in the profile you expect to use.
Position and store the stopping height
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the profile when the height seems different
The hatch keeps the newly selected height until changed, and the setting is saved to the profile in use. If another driver gets a different result, check the profile before assuming the mechanism forgot the position.
Common questions
Is there a fixed hold time in seconds?+
The source says a few seconds and gives a confirmation chime as the result.
Does saving a height remove the need to check obstacles?+
No. Continue to check the hatch’s clearance in each parking place.
