How to switch on air conditioning in a Volvo EX60
Cooling and drying the cabin air is different from simply moving air with the fan. Check the air-conditioning control when you want to know which function the climate system is using.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Press the fan symbol in the bottom bar and select the air-conditioning symbol. Close the windows, doors and trunk for efficient operation.
Start with a closed cabin
Make your first adjustment while parked. Close the windows, doors and trunk so the climate system is working with the conditions described in the manual. Check the temperature you selected before changing several controls at the same time.

Understand what switching A/C off changes
Volvo says deselecting air conditioning also deactivates automatic climate mode. If Auto disappears after your adjustment, check that relationship before assuming the screen ignored a command. Change one relevant control and observe the result before making further adjustments.
