How to enable A/C automatic drying in a Kia EV2
A blower running after parking can be part of the EV2’s A/C drying function. Check this setting before interpreting every after-shutdown fan sound as a fault.
Checked against the MY2027 English owner manual for this model on 27 October 2026. Equipment and software can differ; use the instructions and controls fitted to your own vehicle.
Open Settings → Climate → Climate Features → A/C Automatic Drying in the infotainment system and choose whether to enable the function.
Before you change the setting
Configure the setting while parked. The function is intended to dry moisture in the air-conditioning system; it is not a scheduled cabin-cooling command. Kia notes that software updates can change the infotainment interface.
Work through the controls
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
The function need not run after every shutdown. Insufficient 12-volt charge can prevent it, and starting the vehicle or operating climate remotely can interrupt it. Drying can reduce A/C odour but is not a promise that every smell will disappear; a recurring strong odour may need inspection.
Common questions
Is it guaranteed to run whenever I park?+
No. The manual lists operating conditions, including sufficient 12-volt battery charge.
Can remote climate operation stop it?+
Yes. Remote operation of the climate system is one of the documented stopping conditions.
