How to fold the electric mirrors on a Kia EV2
Before parking in a narrow space, identify whether your EV2 has the electrically folding mirror equipment. Its button provides a deliberate way to fold and restore the housings.
Checked against the MY2027 English owner manual for this model on 27 October 2026. Equipment and software can differ; use the instructions and controls fitted to your own vehicle.
On an EV2 with electric folding mirrors, press the mirror-folding switch to fold them. Press it again to unfold them. Do not force the powered housings inward by hand.
Before you change the setting
Park and check the area beside each mirror before operating it. Confirm that your car has the electric-folding switch rather than assuming every EV2 uses the same mirror hardware. Finish the adjustment before setting off.
Work through the controls
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
A powered mirror should be moved with its motor control. If it will not move normally, stop repeatedly pressing or forcing it and seek advice for the actual fault. Kia says prolonged operation with the vehicle off can discharge the battery.
Common questions
Can the powered mirrors operate when the EV button is off?+
The manual says electric mirror adjustment can operate with the vehicle off. Use it only as long as necessary.
Should I fold a powered mirror by hand?+
Kia warns that doing so can damage its motor. Use the electric control.
