THE QUICK ANSWER

Use the rear-wiper selector: 0 is off, 1 is intermittent and 2 is continuous wiping. Push the wiper lever away from you to wash the rear window with brief wipes.

Before you change the setting

Learn the control positions while parked. Check that the glass and blade are free of ice or heavy snow before operating the wiper. Do not use a frozen blade as a tool for clearing accumulated material from the window.

Work through the controls

Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.

Check the result

If the wiper has stopped because of snow accumulation, remove the obstruction before operating it again. Repeatedly moving a control will not remove that load safely. Use appropriate washer fluid and maintain a clear view rather than relying on a dirty or frozen blade.

Does pulling the lever operate the rear washer?+
