Auto Hold is not a parking brake. It can transfer to the parking brake after about ten minutes.

Press AUTOHOLD for standby, then brake to a complete stop. With the engine running, driver belted and door closed, the active indicator confirms the brakes are being held.

Step by step

1Enable the functionPress AUTOHOLD and check its standby indicator with the engine operating.
2Stop with the pedalKeep the driver door closed and seatbelt fastened. Brake to a complete stop and check for the active indicator.
3Move or cancel safelyAccelerate only when safe to move off. To cancel while held, keep the brake pedal depressed and operate AUTOHOLD.
