Mazda CX-30: How to use automatic climate temperature control

This applies to the fully automatic climate panel. Manual changes to fan, mode or defrost can turn off the AUTO indicator while other functions remain automatic.

Start the engine, press AUTO and set the desired temperature. Use the passenger temperature control when you want a separate passenger-side setting.
