Mazda CX-5: How to tilt and slide the moonroof

With ignition ON, press the overhead switch to tilt the roof or move it rearward to slide it open. Move the switch forward to close.

Step by step

1Choose the movementSwitch the ignition ON. Close the roof first before changing from a slid-open position to tilt, or from tilt to sliding.
2Open the roofMomentarily press the switch for tilt. For sliding, momentarily move it rearward.
3Close and checkMove the switch forward to close, or press it to stop partway. Confirm the roof is closed before washing or leaving the car.

Should I wipe off rainwater before opening?+

Yes. Mazda recommends removing water first to reduce water entering the headliner.
