Schedule cabin preconditioning in a Mercedes GLB electric
For a regular morning departure, enter the time you intend to leave. The GLB’s pre-entry climate controls also let you choose which days that time applies to.
Based on the electric GLB X244 September 2026 manual on Mercedes-Benz Ireland. Account connectivity, software and equipment matter. This sets cabin preconditioning and does not promise a wallbox charging-start schedule.
Open Pre-entry climate ctrl on the central display, then Edit departure time. Choose or create a time, select the required repeat days and confirm with Update. Select the seats for any available seat-specific preconditioning functions.
Check the operating conditions first
The activation instructions require a wireless connection, a vehicle linked to your Mercedes-Benz account, sufficient high-voltage battery charge and the function activated through the multimedia system. A saved time alone is not evidence that these conditions are satisfied.
Never leave a person, particularly a child, unattended in the car on the assumption that a climate schedule will keep the cabin safe.

What happens before departure
The manual says scheduled pre-entry climate control can start up to 55 minutes before departure and continue for another five minutes if departure is delayed. That is an operating window, not a promise that every session lasts 55 minutes.
Suggested departure times can come from a learning function. Its availability depends on the software release and Digital Extra. You can set a time manually without treating a suggestion as the time you intended.

Does this prepare the battery for rapid charging?+
This procedure sets passenger-compartment preconditioning. Battery temperature optimisation for charging is controlled separately under Charge & service.
Why did the cabin not precondition despite a saved time?+
Check the account link, wireless connection, battery charge and activation prerequisites first. Compare any message on the car with its Digital Owner’s Manual before changing unrelated settings.
Can the same departure time run on selected weekdays?+
Yes. Edit the selected departure time, choose its applicable days and use Update to confirm.
