Pair your phone with the Mercedes GLC via Bluetooth
The pairing code is the final check that you have selected the right device. Keep both screens in view and work through the setup while parked.
Checked against the Canadian GLC SUV X254 MBUX manual released March 2024, printed page 24. The repeated Devices entry follows that manual. Other software versions may use different labels.
Turn on Bluetooth on the phone and in MBUX. In Phone, open the settings gear, then Devices → Devices → Connect New Device. Select the phone and confirm the matching code on it.
Enable Bluetooth on both devices
Park and turn on Bluetooth in the phone’s settings. On the vehicle display, use Home → Settings → System → Internet and Bluetooth to activate the car’s Bluetooth connection.
Pair from the Phone menu
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
If the menu looks different
Use the manual selected for your car instead of assuming that another Mercedes screen has the same sequence. Keep a note of which step differs when asking for help.
Common questions
Why does the guide say Devices twice?+
That is the sequence in the Canadian March 2024 quick-start instructions. It is not a second search for the phone.
Is this also a CarPlay setup?+
This guide covers Bluetooth phone pairing. CarPlay is a separate smartphone-integration workflow; see the related guide below.
