How to change speed and distance units in a Polestar 5
Set the displayed units before a trip where road signs use a different convention. Read the unit label as well as the number when checking the change.
Checked against the UK model-year 2026 Polestar 5 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the display and fitted equipment to your car before following these instructions. Optional comfort features may be absent.
Open top-bar settings → Settings → General → System → Units. Select the measurement units you want the car to display.
Before you start
Park and decide which displayed measurement you need to change. A number read without its unit can be misleading, particularly when comparing speeds or distances.
Follow the controls
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
The car displays the new unit format. This changes presentation; continue interpreting local signs and restrictions using their actual units.
