How to schedule cabin preconditioning in a Polestar 5
Set the time you plan to leave, then check whether the timer is a one-off or a weekly repeat. That is clearer than guessing when heating should start.
Checked against the UK model-year 2026 Polestar 5 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the display and fitted equipment to your car before following these instructions. Optional comfort features may be absent.
Press the fan symbol, open Parking → Climate timers and the three-dot control. Choose a departure time, repeat days and what to precondition, then Save and activate the timer.
Before you start
Plan a real departure time and configure the timer while parked. This is a climate timer; it is separate from the car’s AC charging schedule.
Follow the controls
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the result
Check the saved departure and repeat days before leaving. The cabin is prepared by heating or cooling before departure; the menu also lets you choose what to precondition.
Common questions
Can I create a single departure instead of a weekly routine?+
Yes. The manual supports one departure or a weekly schedule with selected days.
Does saving the timer replace selecting the charging hours?+
No. This workflow is for preconditioning. AC charging times are controlled separately.
