How to pair a phone with a Volvo EX60 over Bluetooth
Keep the phone and car display in view during pairing. The matching code is the check that you selected the right device, particularly where several nearby phones appear in the list.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Enable Bluetooth on both devices. In the car, select vehicle symbol → Connectivity → Bluetooth → Found devices, choose the phone and compare the code before accepting the phone’s permission requests.
Make the phone discoverable
Park before setup. Turn Bluetooth on in the vehicle and on the phone, and make the phone discoverable. Have it unlocked and ready so you can compare the prompt rather than confirming a device you did not intend to select.
Complete the first pairing
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check the intended function
The manual says a paired phone reconnects automatically next time when its Bluetooth remains enabled. Test the phone function you wanted to use after setup. A successful pairing is the starting point, not a reason to ignore a missing permission.
Common questions
Can more than one phone be saved?+
Yes, but the vehicle can be actively connected to only one phone at a time.
Will refusing every permission stop the connection?+
The manual says connection is still possible if permissions are skipped, but available functionality is reduced.
