How to switch the active Bluetooth phone in a Volvo EX60
When two drivers travel together, the phone you want may already be saved without being the active connection. Start in Saved devices so you can switch deliberately rather than repeating first-time pairing.
Checked against the US EX60 2027 manual on 27 October 2026. Match the controls to your car and use its current in-car instructions if a software update changes the screen.
Enable Bluetooth on the phone you want to use. Open vehicle symbol → Connectivity → Bluetooth → Saved devices and press its name. A successful connection moves that phone to the top of the list.
Check that the second phone is already paired
The EX60 remembers multiple phones but actively connects to one at a time. Make the change while parked and turn on Bluetooth on the desired phone. If it has never been paired, complete pairing before expecting it in Saved devices.
Choose the phone for this journey
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
If the expected name is missing
Check that you are looking for the same phone name used during pairing. The manual recommends pairing the phone again if it cannot be found in Saved devices. Avoid selecting another passenger’s similarly named device by mistake.
Common questions
Can both phones be active at once?+
The manual allows several saved phones but only one active phone connection.
Do I need to delete the first phone to switch?+
The documented method is to select the other saved phone; it does not instruct you to erase the first pairing.
