How to activate Plug & Charge on a 2027 Volvo EX60
Prepare your charging account before arriving at a busy station. Turning on the vehicle setting is one part of setup; the provider and station must also support it.
Checked against Volvo’s EX60 2027 US activation instructions updated June 1, 2026. Availability depends on the market, provider and station. Automatic billing uses your charging contract; it does not mean charging is free.
Open the vehicle symbol → Charging → Advanced settings → Plug & Charge and turn it on. Use View more to obtain the PCID, then follow the Volvo Cars app setup before connecting at a compatible public charger.
Check the account and station
Confirm that your intended charging provider supports the service for your car. Review its terms and prices. Providers outside Volvo’s partnerships may have a different enrollment process.
Activate and complete the first connection
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
If automatic authorization fails
Reconnect the cable and check whether a charging contract is installed in the car. Ask the provider about an existing contract, or repeat activation if none is present. If necessary, authorize a normal session using the charger’s interface.
Common questions
Does the menu guarantee every charger supports it?+
No. Confirm support with the provider and the particular charging station.
What information should I keep for support?+
Note the station identifier, time and exact error message. Do not publish account or payment details when asking for help.
