How to set the charging limit on a 2027 Volvo EX60
The first home charge is a good time to choose a battery target. Decide what you need for your next drive before changing the setting.
Based on Volvo’s US EX60 2027 support instructions updated June 1, 2026. Check the in-car manual if software changes the labels. This guide covers the EX60, rather than applying another Volvo’s menu to it.
Open the vehicle symbol → Charging → Target battery level. Select Daily drive for 90%, Long trip for 100%, or Custom for your own target.
Choose the target for your next drive
Volvo recommends the daily preset for routine charging. Use the full-charge preset when you want the maximum available range for a longer journey. A percentage target is a battery setting; it is not a promised driving distance.
Change the battery target
Tick steps as you go. Your progress stays in this tab.
Check it again after a long trip
The chosen target remains stored until you change it. After a trip, make checking this value part of your next charging routine. The Volvo Cars app also offers a target-setting control.
Common questions
Will the 100% setting automatically return to the daily preset?+
The documented setting stays saved until you change it. Check it yourself after the trip.
Where can I see the present battery level?+
The charging view displays both the current battery level and the target, so compare the two before leaving the car to charge.
